Folk Thief 'Love, Heartache and Oblivion'

Vancouver's Folk Thief released Love, Heartache & Oblivion at the end of last year to rave reviews. The indie singer-songwriter's album has climbed into the Top 30 on the Canadian College Radio Charts. On July 22nd Folk Thief (Dave Hadgkiss) will head out on a Western Canadian tour with My Boy Rascal. Prior to hitting the road Hadgkiss is playing at The Railway Club on July 18th with Juno Award winner Jenney Whiteley. The acoustic album is a fun balance of driving guitar, dark songs, and beautiful harmonies reminiscent of Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young. Check out my favourite track "After the Accident" (below) now and/or buy the album on iTunes for more great songs like "A Light for Liberty".
